ABOUT

SHEEP'S CLOTHING MEDIA

Sheep's Clothing Media has been making scores, film content, and media projects for several years.

Paul William Dawkins is a film composer and filmmaker from Sydney, Australia.

Paul started as a teenager playing in Australian bands such as Matt Finish and Split Dogs. He worked in audio engineering for a number of years, as well as a musician and record producer, and as a session musician (playing drums, piano, synth, bass, guitar, duduk, waterphone - anything he can get his hands on...)

Eventually he moved into film post, and subsequently scoring, with his breakthrough movie score was the famous cult horror hit The Tunnel (2010). He followed that score with a number of award-winning features, short films, and shows, such as Event Zero, Hungry For Change, Airlock, The Crossing, Over The Edge, The Connection, and Palindromes. He received a "Best Music" award in 2014 for the score to the short film Terrarial, for a world-wide competition by 20th Century Fox.

He was nominated for Best Score for Airlock at the OzFlix Awards. Paul also scored the main themes to the anthology A Night Of Horror Volume One, which won the Melbourne Underground Film Festival Special Jury Prize. His most recent notable feature score was the horror feature Beast No More - a film picked up for international distribution by Level 33 Entertainment.

He has also worked on a number of advertisements and media for clients including BWM, Dalgety Holdings, Australian Maritime Museum, Sydney Monorail, and many others. He has also written and/or produced songs for Glenn Shorrock of Little River Band, Jon English, Matt Moffitt, Jake Nickolai, and Mark O'Shea (to name a few).

Paul is also long-time screenplay writer and producer, and has written /co-written, and directed short films, including the multiple award winners A Remarkable Career, and horror-comedy Dead People Problems.

With dozens of credits spanning many years, Paul continues to work on dynamic, exciting film scores, covering everything from horror, to drama, to comedy... and beyond. He particularly loves blending classic scoring techniques with modern sounds and production techniques to produce powerful, resonant music.

Some of Paul's favourite film composers are Jerry Goldsmith, Hans Zimmer, Christopher Young, John Carpenter, Alan Silvestri, Bernard Herrmann, Danny Elfman, James Horner, John Williams, Clint Mansell, Elliot Goldenthal, Bear McCreary, and Ennio Morricone.

His most current project is the horror/thriller Incantation for U.S. based writer director Eric Gibson, and short Mongrel.
